If you have questions regarding Lupercalia please send them here.
Q: If I want info about tickets, who should I contact?
A: You
should send an email to tickets@Lupercalia-Edmonton.com ; the Committee will get back to you to arrange payment and for you to pick
up of your tickets at the event.
Q: Who do I contact if I want to advertise in the Lupercalia Runbook or support the event as
a sponsor?
Q: How do I obtain more information about the Radisson Hotel where
Lupercalia is held?
A: You can visit the Hotel's website to view information about the hotel, or phone 1-800-395-704 or (780)
437-6010 to make reservations. When making the reservation request the Lupercalia group rate for special Lupercalia pricing.
Q:
If I want to be a Vendor at Lupercalia who do I contact for more information?
Q: What is the layout of the Conference area, where are the workshops
and vendor marketplace?
A: Here is a link to a pdf file of the conference area layouton the lower level of the Radisson Hotel
Edmonton South. Most of the workshops are held in Ballrooms A-C and the Vendor Market is in the foyer immediately adjacent to
the Ballrooms.
Q: What are the Saturday Suppers with the Speakers all about, and can anyone attend?
A: On
Saturday evening groups of up to 20 attendees can go out to one of five dinners with some of our Lupercalia presenters at nearby restaurants.
Sign up sheets will go up Saturday morning .. first come... first served. The reservation time and venue for each "speakers"
dinner will be available at that time. This is just an informal social meal with other attendees, with the added bonus of getting
to meet the speakers other than in the workshops. Reservations are limited to 20 per dinner.
Q: What should I wear
to Lupercalia?
A: Workshops/Brunch/Vendors Marketplace: You can pretty much wear street
clothes if you don't want to show off your fetish wear. Jeans are common and there's a unwritten rule that black is the universal
colour choice in whatever you wear. Don't feel bound by that though. All of the above are within a private event space, but being
naked or exposing nipples/genitalia in those circumstances is not appropriate and one of the organizers would likely approach you
and ask you to change. Of course, within the workshops themselves, the demo bottoms are often naked, as needed.
Play Parties: For the Play Parties on Saturday and Sunday night that are for Lupercalia weekend ticket holders only, please
arrive fully dressed to the venue space and to the Play Space itself and leave fully dressed. Within the Play Space, nakedness is
absolutely fine. For those of you who have to go to the smoking area, you will need to be dressed for it. The whole event is within
a hotel, after all.
The Libertina Ball: The Libertina Ball was conceived
as a masquerade/fetish event where all attending will be in masks (of their own design or provided) and would express themselves through
what they plan to wear--leather, latex, costumes, etc. This doesn't mean that those who, for whatever reason, won't be wearing fetish
wear can't attend. It's a ton more fun if you can enter the spirit of the Ball. Absolutely no nipples/genitalia are allowed at the
Ball and for those who will also attend the Play Party that runs concurrently, you'll have to carefully monitor yourself. The
double standard still exists, however: the no nipple rule applies to women and not men per government liquor control rules.
Above all, dress for comfort, fun, relaxation and enjoyment, while thinking of the context you are in: a public hotel.
Q:
What about attending either the Lupercalia weekend or The Libertina Ball as a single person? Any advice?
A: Singles can
indeed attend Lupercalia and the Libertina Ball, but you need to get your tickets in advance. Neither of these events are swingers
events where single males (in particular) are sometimes discouraged from attending. Many attendees come to learn or have fun as singles
and to meet others with similar interests.
Q: What meals are included with my Lupercalia ticket?
A: The only meal
included in the event price is the Brunch on Sunday. A pasta lunch buffet is available to attendees in Gallery 1 on Saturday
at a cost of $10. The Saturday Suppers with the Speakers on Saturday are no-host (pay your own) meals... see FAQ above.
